Pheidole Noda

Exciting fast growing species that is great to watch

• Nutrition: Sugars from honey or sugar water. Protein from insect sources such as fruit flies

• Colony size: ~3,000

• Queen size: 13 mm

• Worker size: 3-4 millimeters

• Monogyne/polygyne: Monogyne (One Queens per colony)

These Pheidole is very common in the southwestern regions of Japan. They establish smaller colonies then other Pheidole species and nest disturbance does not influence the production of soldiers. They are specialist in escaping so you will need a good escape prevention.
